A Ministry of Life Transformation Through Pastoral Counseling

The pastoral counseling provided by Still Waters is:

  • theologically informed: we integrate the religious and philosophical beliefs of each of our clients into all aspects of the counseling process
  • spiritually sensitive: we respect and encourage the faith traditions and spiritual practices of all clients
  • ethically sound: we maintain the highest standards of accountability and professional conduct
  • clinically competent: we draw from years of professional experience and a wide body of scientific knowledge
  • We often function as an extension of the ministry provided by various faith communities. Their clergy leaders often refer members to us.

    Pastoral Counseling

Pastoral counseling usually deals with life’s difficult situations:

  • Recent or unexpected changes in your life
  • Problems in your relationships
  • Feelings of loss, sadness, grief, emptiness, or meaninglessness
  • Problems with self-doubt, worry, anxiety, loneliness, or isolation
  • Conflicts between the “shoulds” and “wants” of life
  • Religious or spiritual concerns
  • Distress related to living an alternative life style
  • Pastoral counseling may be conducted face-to-face, by phone, or by Skype. Sessions typically last fifty minutes and are scheduled once a week. A sliding scale fee is available. Contact Still Waters to make an initial appointment, or to receive additional information.
